From Junction 27 on the M5 Motorway, take the A361 (North Devon Link
Road) towards Barnstaple. After about 23 miles, at Aller Cross Roundabout (by the North
Gate Inn) turn right onto A399 towards Combe martin. After 12 miles go straight across junction at Blackmoor Gate and 2 miles
further on, turn right, (sign-posted Trentishoe 4 miles and Hunters Inn 4 miles). The route is now well sign-posted to the
Hunters Inn which you will arrive at after about 5 miles. The last few miles of the route takes you along the coast road and
offers stunning views of the Exmoor Hills as they meet the sea and of the spectacular oak wooded Heddon Valley as you drop
down into the valley on the final stage of your journey. The above route is marked in blue on the map below.
