Exit from M5 at Junction 27 - taking the A361
towards Barnstaple. Just after South Molton at Aller X turn right onto A399 towards Combe Martin.
After about 12 miles you will pass Blackmoor Gate junction and 2 miles further on, turn right, (sign-posted Trentishoe 4 miles
and Hunters Inn 4 miles).
There are also routes from the A39 between Parracombe & Lynton but the above
one is the widest road down to the Hunters Inn.
The last few miles of the route takes you over Holdstone Down and
offers stunning views of the Exmoor Hills as they meet the sea with views across to Wales.... not to mention the
spectacular oak wooded Heddon Valley as you drop down into it on the final stage of your journey.
